A young Nigerian man has opened up about what unfolded during VeryDarkMan’s protest in Ibadan, Oyo state.
In a now-viral video posted on X, the man shared that the protest was held in solidarity with the abducted Ibadan pupils.
Man Shares Encounter At VeryDarkMan’s Ibadan Protest
According to the man, chaos erupted during the protest as protesters fled while he moved to the roadside.
”I saw people with cutlass,stick bottles.In the protest, nobody was holding stick. They started throwing bottles”, He stated.
Verydarkman Takes Action At Protest
Meanwhile, protesters hid for safety in an establishment as gunshots rang out. VeryDarkMan didn’t flee; rather, he stormed toward them with an axe on his shoulder
Furthermore, the man inquired who orchestrated the disruption at the protest.
Abduction Incident In Oyo
Meanwhile, VeryDarkMan led protests in Ibadan on June 16, 2026. Protesters marched at Iwo Road, then to Government House Agodi.
Additionally, Governor Seyi Makinde met them and vowed to rescue the victims.
Earlier, GistReel reported that on May 15, 2026, gunmen attacked three schools in Oriire LGA, Oyo State, Yawota, Ahoro-Esienle, and Alawusa.
Thirty-nine pupils and seven teachers were kidnapped.
The abducted victims included nursery and primary school children as young as two years old. One teacher was beheaded, a terrifying video of the act later emerged online.
