“We shall never forget and forgive you” – Bayo Onanuga tells Peter Obi for backing Trump’s military invasion
Presidential aide Bayo Onanuga has criticised Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi over his reaction to Donald Trump’s recent comments on Nigeria, accusing him of supporting foreign intervention in the country.
It would be recalled that president Donald Trump had issued warning over the alleged Christian prosecution in the country, noting that he wouldn’t hesitate to storm the country and wreck havoc on those killing Christians in Nigeria.
Bayo Onanuga berates Peter Obi
Bayo Onanuga reacted to a video which showed Peter Obi noting that he would accept an external offer of help to end insecurities in Nigeria.
Onanuga, who serves as Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu, reacted sharply after Obi condemned killings in Nigeria and referenced Trump’s threat to take military action if the government fails to protect Christian communities.
According to Onanuga, Obi’s stance amounted to endorsing external invasion of the country.
‘We will never forgive’
He noted that they will not forget nor forgive what he did, supporting a foreign invasion of Nigeria.
