A Nigerian lady has gone viral online after sharing her encounter with a barber who charges over ₦100k for a haircut.
The lady, @vaphor on X (formerly Twitter), shared that during her outing with friends, they stopped at a barber shop in the Lekki area.

According to @vaphor, the barber informed them that the ₦100k haircut charge was on the lower end of the spectrum, and he charges celebrities ₦500k per haircut.
In the tweet that has sparked buzz on social media, the barber shared that he earns ₦8-12 million weekly.

Barbers now charge this much?. Me and my guys went out the other day, and some of the boys decided to stop at a barbing salon first around the Lekki area. We followed them there, and we met this barber who’s charging over ₦100k for a single haircut.
He even told us that ₦100k was actually on the low side that he charges celebrities more than ₦500k per head, and that he pulls in ₦8–12 million weekly from the business. Is that kind of money even realistic for a barber in Nigeria right now (2026), especially in Lekki?.
