The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has published the schedule for the 2026 Common-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates, first series.

Shared on the council’s official X handle on Tuesday, the timetable provides a detailed outline of subjects, exam dates, and start times, giving candidates the chance to organise their preparations ahead of the assessment.

Private candidates can now plan for January 28 start

WAEC encouraged candidates to examine the timetable carefully and familiarise themselves with all requirements.
