Victor Osimhen submits sick note to miss Napoli pre-season training

Victor Osimhen was absent from Napoli’s first pre-season training session on Monday after reportedly submitting a medical certificate to excuse himself, as transfer talks with Turkish giants Galatasaray continue to drag on.
According to multiple Italian reports, including Fabrizio Romano, the Nigerian striker handed in a sick note as negotiations between the two clubs remain unresolved despite Galatasaray having agreed in principle to meet Osimhen’s €75 million release clause.
The delay stems from disagreements over the payment structure.
Napoli are demanding €55 million upfront, with the remaining €20 million in structured instalments backed by solid financial guarantees.
Galatasaray, however, are reportedly offering €40 million upfront and €35 million in instalments.
Although the deal is close, it has not yet been finalised, meaning Osimhen technically remains a Napoli player.
