“VDM, I’m here to tell you that…” — Woman blasts VDM over claims he had sex with someone’s wife
Social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM) has come under heavy criticism after a woman accused him of proudly admitting he allegedly slept with a married woman at the residence of Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti.
In a viral video circulating online, the woman blasted VDM over the alleged statement, saying his action lacked dignity and respect for marriage.
“VDM, I’m here to tell you that you don’t have dignity. For you to come out and tell us, say you go Seun Kuti house, go knack married woman,” she said.
She further condemned the act, saying even traditional beliefs reject such behaviour.
“This one na another offence, because even gods of the land condemns it,” she added.
The woman continued by mocking the social commentator, saying the only thing he would be remembered for at the house was allegedly sleeping with another man’s wife.
“You go person house, the only thing where you fit do for that house made them take remember you, na to knack person wife,” she said in Pidgin English.
Reactions trail viral video
The video has since sparked heated reactions across social media platforms, with many Nigerians divided over what VDM truly said.
Reacting to the controversy, Ayumzi criticised the social media personality, writing: “If this is true, then it is confirmed that guy has no character. For you to sleep with someone’s wife knowing she’s married, VDM has no conscience.”
However, another user, K Pulse, defended him, claiming people misunderstood his statement.
“Omo Nigerians and twisting people’s words. The guy clearly said single mother. He has been saying it for years that he loves single mothers and it’s not a crime,” the user wrote.
Another commenter, Yommex, also questioned why the issue had generated outrage.
“Omo people foolish o. Did VDM mention the single mother’s name or post her picture?” the comment read.
Calsinperry, however, faulted those still supporting the activist despite the controversy.
“Someone is proud of saying he loves to hit on married woman and you gullible people keep seeing him as a messiah,” the user wrote.
