UTME 2026; “I was so scared” – Lady in shock over aggregate score, scores 97 in chemistry
A lady who sat for the 2026 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam has gone viral online after displaying her aggregate score.
The female candidate , @only_rechael on X (formerly Twitter), shared that she was initially frightened to check her result.
Lady Displays JAMB Aggregate Score
A screenshot attached to the now-viral tweet shows @only_rechael’s JAMB score which was 75 in Physics, 51 in English, and 97 in Chemistry, totaling an aggregate of 283.
However, the result left her stunned, while her friend who prepared intensively for the exam scored 203.
”My friend who prepared way more than me got 203 in JAMB and she’s been crying her eyes out. I feel her pain. She deserves better“, She stated.
2026 UTME
Notably, the 2026 UTME commenced on Thursday, April 16, 2026, across accredited CBT centres in Nigeria.
The examination is expected to run till April 25, 2026, with over 2.2 million candidates participating.
Meanwhile, gunmen abducted 14 passengers, believed to be JAMB candidates, along the Makurdi-Otukpo road in Benue State on April 15, 2026.
The victims were traveling in an 18-seater Benue Links bus when it was ambushed, and the attackers forced them into a nearby forest.
Meanwhile, security operatives have launched a rescue operation, while the bus driver has been arrested for violating company policy by traveling at night.
However, JAMB has clarified that the abducted victims were not candidates, rather participants in an ongoing police recruitment exercise.
