US Influencer Ashlee Jenae dies at 31

Ashlee Janae, born Ashly Robinson, died at the age of 31 while on vacation with her boyfriend, Joe McCann, in Zanzibar, Tanzania, where they were celebrating her birthday on April 5.

She was supposedly found unresponsive in her villa at a high-end resort and pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Zuberi Chembera, deputy director of criminal investigations, said in a statement reported by local media. According to The Citizen, investigations indicated that Ashly was experiencing emotional distress as a result of her personal situation.

He also indicated that text conversations exchanged between the deceased and her fiancé revealed ongoing concerns about her personal difficulties.

“We established that the deceased was under mental anguish based on witness testimony and examination of communication devices belonging to her and her fiancé. SMS chats revealed continuous complaints about her life situations,” he said.

He stated that the investigation, which was performed with the support of other agencies, concluded that no one was to blame for the death and that the case was now closed.

April’s initial records identified her immediate cause of death as cerebral hypoxia caused by strangling and suffocation.

Police also claimed that Robinson and McCann had a misunderstanding prior to her murder, prompting hotel managers to move the couple into different rooms.

McCann had described her death as a “incomprehensible tragedy”.
