Update: Police arrest officers who allegedly assaulted, stole from Ijoba Lande

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of officers accused of assaulting and robbing popular skit maker, Ijoba Lande.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed in a statement shared on X that the officers involved have been identified and are currently undergoing investigation.

“The officers involved have been identified and brought forward to the Command for investigation. At the moment, both the officers, the actor, and his friend are giving their statements. Further developments will be communicated accordingly.

Ijoba Lande accuses Police of theft, assault
Earlier reports revealed that Ijoba Lande, in a viral video, accused officers attached to the Area ‘J’ Division of the Lagos State Police Command of assaulting him, confiscating his mobile phone, and stealing cash belonging to his brother.
The video showed the entertainer with visible injuries, including bleeding around his eyes, as bystanders poured water on his face. The footage also captured him inside what appeared to be a police station, where he was attempting to lodge a complaint following the alleged assault.
Ijoba Lande alleged that the officers physically assaulted him, seized his iPhone 16 Pro Max, and took $1,200 in cash reportedly belonging to his unnamed brother.
