UNILORIN student protests exam questions on Nigerian politicians

A 300 level student of university of Ilorin, UNILORIN cries out as he’s told to answer questions about El-rufai and senator Natasha, Atiku and Bola Tinubu in his exam questions despite not being the cause of the actions and inactions of these politicians.

This is contained in a post made available on a popular social media platform, X, formally Twitter.

The individual, @fado_maverick mentioned that he isn’t the one who led the coalition of the opposition which consist of Peter Obi, Atiku, El-rufai and several other politicians and also he and isn’t the one who suspended a Kogi senator, Natasha.

Despite him not playing a part in the activities of these notable politicians, he came across questions about them in his university examination.

Analyse the above political phenomenon in relation to the struggle for the coming presidential election, using an appropriate political theory of your choice.

3. – The suspension of Senator Natasha from the Nigerian Senate is justified. Using the legal option of traditional approach, justify the above assertion.

4. – Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused the PDP governors of playing the spoiler for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election. Analyse the above statement, relying on the propositions of John Highley and Micheal Burton New Elite Theory.

5. – Write a detailed essay on ANY of the following theories, covering its core principles, key proponents, criticisms, and relevance to contemporary Political events in Nigeria:

A 300-level student of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has taken to social media to express frustration after encountering exam questions centered on prominent Nigerian politicians—Malam Nasir El-Rufai, Senator Natasha Akpoti, Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and President Bola Tinubu.

 

In a post shared via the popular platform X (formerly Twitter), the student, identified as @fado_maverick, lamented that he was being asked to analyze political actions and events in which he played no part.

He humorously noted: “It is not me who led the coalition, nor did I initiate the suspension of Senator Natasha, but I am the one suffering the consequences. MMS.”

He further remarked on the difficulty of studying Political Science at UNILORIN, writing:

You’ll think it’s easy to analyze politics until you study Political Science in Unilorin.”

The exam in question was for the course POS 314 – Contemporary Political Analysis – under the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences.
