Early Life and Education

Umo Bassey Eno was born and reared in Akwa Ibom State on 24 April 1964, where he received his primary and secondary education. From the University of Uyo, where he also pursues his doctorate, he holds a master’s degree in public administration.

Pastor Umo Eno is a Pan-African University graduate of the Lagos Business School (LBS) and also attended the National Productivity Award (FNCHI).

The Royalty Group, a corporation that specializes in hospitality, information and communication technology (ICT), manufacturing, and the oil and gas industry, was founded in 1997 by successful businessman and visionary Christian leader Umo Eno.

Aside from politics, he is a pastor and the General Overseer of All Nations Christian Ministry International, a church that aims to bring all Christians together, regardless of race, tribe, or ethnicity.

Career

In 1982, Pastor Eno started his career with the Union Bank of Nigeria. From 1985 to 1990, he was employed at Bertola Machine Tools.

The minister was employed by Norman Holdings Limited from 1990 to 1997 when he left his position as group general manager (GGM), of commercial services to found Royalty Hotels and Recreations Limited.

From 2004 until 2007, Umo Eno served in a number of positions, including that of Chairman of the Akwa Ibom Hotels and Tourism Board.

Additionally, he is a Paul Haris Fellow for the Rotary Club of Eket District 9140. He is the commissioner for lands and water resources in Akwa Ibom State.
