Prince Uche Secondus (born March 22, 1955) is a Nigerian businessman, politician, and elder statesman who served as chairman of the PDP National Working Committee in 2017 before being suspended by the party in 2021.
Secondus served as the committee’s acting chairman from 2015 to 2016. He was the second chairman of the Rivers State People’s Democratic Party, serving for two terms.

Secondus was born and raised in Andonia. He finished his elementary and intermediate school in Rivers State. He also attended the London Chambers of Commerce Institute, where he earned a certificate in commerce.
Career
Secondus entered politics during the Second Republic in 1978, motivated by a desire to better the lives of Riverians. He was Rivers State Youth Leader of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN), Rivers State Publicity Secretary of the National Republican Convention (NRC) (1993-1998), and two-term Chairman of the Rivers State People’s Democratic Party.
While serving as state party chair, he earned the nickname “Total Chairman” and led a powerful faction in the National Executive Committee known as G.84.
Secondus served as the South-South Coordinator for the PDP National Campaign Council, which organised the party’s campaigns during the 2007 general election.
At the 2008 People’s Democratic Party Convention, he was promoted to National Organising Secretary, a position he held until 2012. Secondus is the first Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
On September 1, 2013, he was elected Deputy National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party. He also served briefly as the party’s acting National Chairman after Adamu Mu’azu resigned in 2015. After a disputed election, Secondus was chosen chairman of the PDP National Working Committee on December 10, 2017, at Eagles Square.
He is recognised as the best PDP chairman in history, as his term helped the PDP win more states as an opposition party.
