Breakdown of deportation reasons

Pakistani laborers are flocking to the UAE for jobs in 2026, as Gulf employment remains strong and remittances hit a record $4.2 billion in May.
According to Khaleej Times, a written response presented to the legislature on Saturday, August 221, revealed that 21,951 Pakistani nationals were deported from Gulf states between March 1 and July 13, 2026.
Hameed Hussain, a member of the National Assembly, posed the question that prompted the response. The results revealed that absconders accounted for a sizable proportion of the total, with 4,628 deported, 1,294 imprisoned, and 968 blacklisted.
Aside from absconders, 1,155 deportations were due to lost passports, 689 to visa infractions, and 342 to refusals of entry into Gulf nations.
Overstaying, begging, and forging documents were also given as causes for deportation. Nine Pakistani nationals were deported from the UAE, specifically through an Interpol process.
Saudi Arabia had the largest number of deportations among the Gulf governments. The kingdom returned 3,921 absconders and deported another 1,924 Pakistanis for visa-related offenses.
The UAE deported 636 absconders and 347 persons for visa infractions, while Oman deported 295 people for identical reasons.
The data, which are now part of the official parliamentary record, indicate the scope of Pakistani emigration to the Gulf, as well as the variety of legal complications that can develop when workers or residents violate host nation legislation.
The UAE deported 983 Pakistanis, including 636 absconders and 347 people over visa violations, according to official figures.
Meanwhile, the UAE lists 8 categories of foreigners eligible for a visit visa in 2026.
The UAE Immigration and Citizenship Authority has issued the legal categories that determine whether visitors are eligible for a visit visa.
A provision in the Act authorizes the ICA Chairman to approve visit visas for purposes other than those listed in the official categories.
