Tuchel to review Bellingham reaction after substitution, insists ‘behaviour is key’
England manager Thomas Tuchel says he will “review” Jude Bellingham’s visible frustration after the midfielder reacted angrily to being substituted during England’s 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Albania.
Bellingham, making his first England start since June, was replaced by Morgan Rogers in the 84th minute.
The Real Madrid star, already on a yellow card, gestured that he did not want to leave the pitch, a reaction Tuchel said must be assessed.

Tuchel warns against unnecessary suspensions
Tuchel had earlier emphasised the need for discipline, referencing Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent red card for Portugal that will see him miss two World Cup matches.
A second booking on Sunday would have ruled Bellingham out of England’s World Cup opener.
“I stick to my words – behaviour is key,” Tuchel told BBC Radio 5 Live. “Respect for team-mates who come in is fundamental. Decisions are made and players must accept them.”
He added that Rogers, who lost his starting spot despite strong club form, also had to accept the coaching decision.
Bellingham impresses but shows frustration
Bellingham was one of seven changes to the England lineup and delivered a strong performance in both defence and attack.
His final contribution was joining celebrations for Harry Kane’s second goal, moments before being withdrawn, prompting what former England defender Stephen Warnock described as a “furious” response.
Tuchel said he noticed the irritation but played down the incident. “We are about standards, commitment, and respect. We won’t change decisions because someone waves their arms,” he said.
Players intervene to calm the midfielder
Despite his frustration, Bellingham applauded supporters and shook Tuchel’s hand before heading to the bench.
Warnock said several team-mates, including Dan Burn and Phil Foden, approached him to encourage restraint.
“If you’re going to win a World Cup, you won’t play every minute,” Warnock noted. “He has to do what’s best for the team.”
