Tuanzebe sue’s Man United over medical negligence after injury-plagued career

Former Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe has launched a legal action against the club over alleged medical negligence.
According to The Telegraph, the 27-year-old, who now plays internationally for DR Congo, is claiming that poor medical advice significantly hindered his professional development.
Tuanzebe believes this contributed to the recurring fitness problems that plagued his time at Old Trafford and during loan stints at Aston Villa, Napoli, and Stoke City.
A product of United’s famed academy, Tuanzebe joined the club at the age of eight and captained youth sides at every level before making his senior debut in January 2017.
He eventually made 37 appearances for the Red Devils before departing the club permanently in 2023.
Although his talent was widely recognised, some saw him as a potential long-term solution at centre-back for United, but injury setbacks repeatedly derailed his career.
His legal representatives have so far declined to comment on the nature or scope of the claim.
This case adds to a growing list of professional footballers seeking legal redress for alleged failures in duty of care during their careers.
