Trump shares video of Plateau pastor calling on him to save Christians in Nigeria

United States President Donald Trump has reposted a video featuring Nigerian cleric Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, in which the pastor calls for international intervention over what he described as the genocide of Christians in Nigeria.

Trump shared the clip on his official Truth Social account on Saturday.

The video, which originally went viral about six months ago, shows Reverend Dachomo speaking during the burial of Christians he alleged were killed in targeted attacks.

In the footage, he said, “Look at it today. Is there any Muslim here? United Nations, I know you are watching me. American Senate, you are watching what I’m saying here. Special Adviser to Trump, please tell Trump to save our lives in Nigeria. They are killing Christians in Nigeria,  massacring Christians. If they say Muslims are being killed, by who? By Muslims.”

Trump’s repost followed his earlier announcement that US forces, in coordination with the Nigerian Armed Forces, conducted a joint operation that led to the killing of Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, identified as the second-in-command of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria globally.

In a statement on Truth Social, he said the operation was carefully planned and carried out with intelligence assistance that monitored the terrorist leader’s movements across Africa.

He explained that the mission targeted one of the world’s most active terrorist figures, accusing him of orchestrating attacks and supporting operations against both American and African communities.

Trump further stated that the death of al-Minuki would seriously disrupt ISIS’s global activities and weaken its presence across the African continent.
