Tragedy as Gabriel Olarewaju’s sister passes away

Tragedy has struck the Olanrewaju family once again, following the passing of late boxer Gabriel Olanrewaju’s elder sister.

According to reports, she passed away two days after Gabriel’s burial on June 19, 2025.

The cause of her death remains unknown, but the timing has left the family in deep sorrow, struggling to cope with the loss of two close family members in a short span.

According to Mohammed Amin Lamptey, Communications Director of the Ghana Boxing Authority, Gabriel’s sister was laid to rest last Friday.

The family is still reeling from the shock of Gabriel’s untimely death in March 2025, after he collapsed in the ring during a bout in Ghana.
