Tragedy as Anas Al-Sharif passes away in Israeli strike

Tragedy strikes as Al Jazeera Arabic correspondent, Anas Al-Sharif passes away.

The 28-year-old journalist was killed in an Israeli strike on August 10, 2025.

The strike occurred outside Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of five Al Jazeera staff members.

Prior to his tragic passing, Anas Al-Sharif reported live from Gaza City documenting intense Israeli bombardment.

Anas Al-Sharif leaves behind his wife, Bayan Sharif, and two young children, Sham and Salah.

Recall that Israel launched an attack in Gaza City that resulted in the deaths of 39 individuals at the Al-Baqa Café, a popular spot for journalists and locals.
