Tottenham keen on making De Zerbi new manager

Tottenham Hotspur have identified Roberto De Zerbi as their leading candidate to become the club’s next permanent head coach following the departure of Igor Tudor.
Tudor exited by mutual consent after just 44 days in charge, with Spurs moving quickly to stabilise the team amid growing relegation concerns in the Premier League.
De Zerbi emerges as top target
Club executives, including chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and sporting director Johan Lange, are now leading the search for a long-term replacement.
De Zerbi, who recently left Olympique de Marseille, is understood to be open to the role. However, sources indicate the Italian would prefer to delay any decision until the end of the season, when Tottenham’s league status becomes clearer.

Spurs had already made initial contact prior to Tudor’s exit, signalling strong interest in appointing the former Brighton & Hove Albion manager as part of a longer-term rebuild.
Short-term options under consideration
With the club sitting just above the relegation zone, attention has also turned to interim solutions. Sean Dyche is among the names being considered due to his track record of keeping teams in the top flight.
However, negotiations could be complicated, with Dyche reportedly seeking a minimum 18-month contract rather than a short-term arrangement.
Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino remains a popular choice among supporters, though his current role with the United States national team makes an immediate return unlikely.
Other candidates linked with temporary roles include Ryan Mason, Harry Redknapp, and Tim Sherwood, as Tottenham weigh their options during a critical phase of the season.
