Tottenham considered Lookman, Turkish links false, confirms Fabrizio Romano

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Ademola Lookman was on Tottenham Hotspur’s shortlist during the transfer window, though a move never materialised.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the transfer expert revealed Spurs weighed up a loan deal with a purchase option for the Atalanta winger before prioritising Randal Kolo Muani. However, Atalanta dismissed the idea.

Romano also clarified that Bayern Munich submitted an official proposal earlier in the summer, offering a loan with a €28 million buy option, but the Serie A side refused to negotiate.
Meanwhile, the journalist dismissed reports linking Lookman with Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, stating there was “never a chance” of such a transfer.
The Nigeria international remains with Atalanta and is now focused on representing the Super Eagles in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Rwanda.
