Tony Mowbray replaces Wayne Rooney as Birmingham boss

Birmingham City has officially appointed Tony Mowbray as their new manager, following the sack of Premier League legend Wayne Rooney.

The Championship club sacked Rooney last week after a run of two wins from 15 games that saw them drop points in the English second division league.

Mowbray, excited about the new challenge said, “I am excited to be joining Birmingham City at this time. I can’t wait to get back on the training pitch and start working with this talented group of players.”
