Tomama claims some women involved in serious crimes hide behind prostitution tag
Comedienne Tomama has claimed that some women involved in serious crimes often hide behind the prostitution label to conceal their actual sources of income.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, Tomama argued that people are quick to label women prostitutes whenever they cannot determine how they make their money.

She alleged that some women are involved in money laundering, drug dealing, pimping, internet fraud and kidnapping, claiming their involvement in crime is often underestimated.
“Once some of you can’t figure out a woman’s source of income, you’ll just tag her a prostitute. You people don’t even rate women in the crime scene. Women are involved in a lot of things that will leave you in shock.
Women do money laundering, women do drugs, pimping, yahoo, aza man, kidnapping. You see most of those big shops in Lekki that never have customers, yet they are still running and they are owned by women. They are cleaning money with those shops,” she said.
Tomama further claimed that some women accept prostitution accusations because they would rather carry the label than have people investigate their alleged sources of income.
She also argued that prostitution could not explain the wealth of some women, urging people to look beyond the label when questioning their financial status.
“This is why a lot of them don’t argue when you call them prostitutes because they’d rather accept that than for you to find out what they really do.
Women commit big crimes but you all think it’s prostitution. Try the prostitution yourself to see if you’ll achieve what they have achieved,” she added.
Her comments have generated discussions online, with some viewers debating her claims about women, crime and unexplained wealth.
