Tinubu Appoints Akume SGF, Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff, Hadejia, DCoS

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Senator George Akume, a former governor of Benue State, to the position of Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

Additionally, the President appointed Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, a former deputy governor of Jigawa State, as chief of staff and Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the House of Representatives, as deputy chief of staff.

Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director, Information, State House, Abuja, announced the appointment in a statement.

According to the statement, the President made the announcement at a meeting with the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) at the Presidential Villa’s Council Chamber in Abuja.

Former President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Akume as Minister of Special Duties.

The Spokesman Said

‘”President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced Friday 2 June 2023, in Abuja the appointment of Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives, as Chief of Staff, and Sen. Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, a former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, as Deputy Chief of Staff.”

During a meeting with the Progressive Governors Forum, the President also named the former Benue State Governor and former Minister of Special Duties.
