Timi Dakolo breaks silence after DJ Timmy threatens to expose his alleged ‘sexcapades’ over unpaid debt

Popular Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has responded to allegations made against him by disc jockey DJ Timmy over an alleged unpaid debt.

Earlier, Gistreel reported that DJ Timmy publicly accused the singer of owing him money and issued a deadline for the alleged debt to be settled.

He also threatened to expose details of Dakolo’s private life and alleged sexual escapades to his wife if the money was not paid before the deadline.

Reacting to the allegations, Timi Dakolo, through his lawyer, released an official statement on his Instagram page, describing DJ Timmy’s claims as false, defamatory and an attempt to tarnish his reputation.

According to the statement, the alleged debt referenced by the DJ relates to expenses for venue arrangements, graphic design, domain registration, website fees, video editing, video deposits and consultation fees.

The renowned singer maintained that he does not owe DJ Timmy the amount being claimed and insisted the allegations were entirely false. He further stated that the publication of the claims had caused reputational damage to him and his family.

Dakolo also disclosed that appropriate legal action had already been taken against the disc jockey over the allegations and threats.

The exchange has since generated mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing different opinions over the public dispute between the singer and the disc jockey.
