“Time is running out” – Galatasaray issue warning to Osimhen
Galatasaray vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu has issued a warning to Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, insisting that “time is running out” as the club awaits a decision on a proposed permanent transfer.
The Turkish champions are ready to finalise a deal for the 26-year-old forward by the end of June, having reportedly tabled a lucrative €16 million annual offer.
However, with no definitive response from Osimhen, the club is beginning to weigh alternative options.
Osimhen, who is keen to remain in Europe after turning down interest from Saudi Arabia, is also being monitored by Juventus, further complicating Galatasaray’s pursuit.
Despite this, the Istanbul-based club remain firm in their stance that securing the Nigerian’s signature is their top summer priority.
“He keeps us waiting, but time is running out,” Kavukcu told Fanatik. “We’ve offered him figures higher than those proposed elsewhere in Europe.”
Galatasaray have already strengthened their squad with the signing of Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané and are aiming to boost their attacking options as they prepare to defend their Super Lig title and make a deeper run in European competition.
