“They took everything” — Man cries out after thieves steal welding machines
A welder has broken down in tears after suspected thieves broke into his workshop and carted away his welding machines and engine, plunging him into distress.
The incident, which was captured in a viral video circulating on social media, shows the visibly shaken man lamenting the loss of the tools he relies on for daily survival.
According to him, the thieves did not only steal his equipment but also took machines belonging to other welders who kept their tools in the same location.
His emotional cry
“What did I do to you people? I don’t owe anybody. I didn’t steal anyone’s property. This hustle I’m managing to survive, you people came and carried it away. You took my engine and even carried other people’s own that were here.What did I do to deserve this? I just got to my shop and didn’t see my engine again. Even other people’s machines kept here were taken.”
The victim explained that the stolen items represented years of hard work, sacrifice, and struggle, stressing that welding was his only source of income.
He added that the loss has left him confused and helpless, as he now has no means to fend for himself or his family.
The incident has once again drawn attention to the growing insecurity affecting small business owners and artisans across the country, many of whom operate without insurance or external support. For many welders and artisans, losing work tools often means instant unemployment and financial ruin.
