“They searched everywhere but……”- Man shares why lady stole boyfriend’s gold chain to buy an iPhone 16
A user on the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) has shared why a lady stole her boyfriend’s gold chain to purchase an iPhone 16.
The X user, @honestarsenalF, shared that the girlfriend’s act stemmed from peer pressure.
According to the X user, the incident occurred in October 2025, which resulted in a serious dispute between the boyfriend and his male friend who was living with him.
However, the male friend had to pack out over the missing gold chain.
Truth Discovered
However, the truth was discovered after the girl fell out with one of her friends, and one of her friends eventually opened up to the boyfriend about the missing gold chain.
Meanwhile, the girl, who’s pregnant has been arrested, while her boyfriend has demanded for his missing gold chain.
According to the girl, her excuse for the theft was a lack of financial support from her boyfriend, claiming he wouldn’t give her the money even if she asked him to buy the iPhone.
”Her only excuse for stealing was that her boyfriend doesn’t spend enough on her and always spends on himself. She said he has many gold chains, and if she had asked him for money to buy the phone, he wouldn’t have given it to her. So she felt she had to do it since he has several gold chains, and that was the smallest one”, The tweet reads in part.
