“They rejected my husband at first sight” – Nkubi’s wife opens up on family disapproval over his looks

The wife of popular actor and skit maker Victor Nwaogu, widely known as Nkubi, has sparked conversations online after revealing that her family initially rejected him because of his physical appearance.

Speaking during a recent interview, she disclosed that she intentionally avoided describing her husband’s looks before introducing him to her family.

According to her, she wanted them to meet him without forming opinions ahead of time.

“I didn’t tell my family about my husband’s looks until he appeared before them. They rejected him, but I stood my ground,” she said.

She explained that when Nkubi eventually met her family, their first reaction was not welcoming.

Although she did not go into full details about their objections, she hinted that their concerns were largely centered on his physical stature rather than his character.

Despite the pressure, she said she refused to back down.

According to her, what truly mattered was the kind of man he is. She described him as caring, responsible, and supportive, stressing that those qualities far outweigh physical considerations.

In a previous revelation, she recounted a disturbing experience during a pregnancy scan when a medical doctor made an inappropriate remark, questioning why she did not “go outside” to get pregnant instead of conceiving with her husband.

Since the interview surfaced, reactions have poured in across social media.

While many netizens applauded her for standing by her husband and prioritizing character over appearance, others criticized families who judge potential partners based on physical attributes.
