“They called police on their 14-year-old daughter in UK for…” – Lady recounts shocking story
A Nigerian lady has shared a shocking story about a family in the UK, where parents reportedly called the police on their 14-year-old daughter after she repeatedly misbehaved in their home.
According to her, the girl had always been well-behaved in Nigeria. When the family moved to the UK, she initially adjusted well, but tensions soon arose.
She began defying her parents, talking back to her mother, and even standing chest-to-chest with her father, challenging his authority.
“You would talk to her, she would tell her mother, ‘shut up.’ The father would talk to her, she would stand chest to chest with him, challenging him, and just doing anyhow. It was obvious she was trying to trigger them to hit her,” she recounted.
One day, after refusing to follow her father’s instructions, he reportedly called the police.
He explained that if he tried to punish her himself, social services could intervene, so he allowed the authorities to handle the situation.
The police intended to conduct a mental health assessment, as misbehavior in minors in the UK is often treated as potentially linked to mental health issues. Upon hearing this, the girl began begging her parents, but her father insisted she be taken away.
After the intervention, social services re-visited the home telling her parent that she had a confession to make.
The girl, however, pleaded that she was influenced by her friends at school, who encouraged her to provoke her parents so she could later report them and gain independence, including financial support.
