Mother Of 3 Living Abroad Passes Away On New Year
According to @Dhkurullah, the ordeal started after the deceased mother, Damilola Balogun, started complaining of severe migraines.
However, tests conducted on her revealed water on her brain, and she was referred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital located in Birmingham.
Aftermath Of Brain Surgery
In the tweet which has garnered over 1.7 million views, three days after Damilola underwent brain surgery, she went into a coma and was placed on life support.
Despite efforts of the medical practitioners, resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, and the life support was switched off on January 1, 2026.
However, Damilola leaves behind her children aged 11 years old, 10 years old, and 5 months old.
In addition, a GoFundMe account has been opened to cover her funeral and burial expenses, provide support for her children, and ease the financial burden of the grieving family.
In a recent development, £15,000 has been raised in donations, as disclosed by the X user.
