“The hot jollof wey I dey eat cold for my mouth.” – Lady recounts dramatic escape after man’s girlfriend stormed lodge

A lady has shared how she was forced to flee from a man’s lodge after his girlfriend unexpectedly arrived while she was eating a meal he had served her. Recalling the incident years later, she said it remains the first time she had ever run for her life.

Girlfriend confronts man as visitor flees

According to the lady, the man had been inviting her out while they were both in school, and she usually spent only a short time with him before returning home. On one occasion, he invited her to his lodge, where he welcomed her with a plate of jollof rice, chicken and a chilled bottle of Coke.

Barely two minutes into the meal, someone knocked on the door. The man opened it, only for his girlfriend to walk in unexpectedly, leaving both him and his guest stunned.

Story sparks reactions online

Describing the tense moment, the lady said, “This girl is tall and thick. I greeted her ‘aunty good morning’ she no reply me, even the guy sef shock. I suspect a neighbor alerted the girl and i think her lodge is close by too.” The atmosphere quickly changed as the confrontation escalated.

She further recalled, “The next thing i heard na ‘tawaiii’ for the guy face, chai the hot jellof wey i dey eat cold for my mouth. She was shouting ‘na food wey i cook You carry dey do love?’ The guy sef confused dey tell am make she calm down after all na him house and his foodstuffs.” Fearing she could also become involved, she immediately abandoned the meal and ran out of the lodge.
