Tacha declares pandemic as she responds to trolls over Mercy Eke’s outfit
Disqualified Big Brother Naija housemate, Natacha Akide, widely known as Tacha, has fearlessly responded to social media trolls in the wake of Mercy Eke’s outfit drama.
Tacha clapped back at those who attacked her following Mercy Eke’s fashion choices, which caught the attention of American rap star Cardi B.
The controversy arose when Cardi B praised Mercy Eke’s outfits at the recently concluded AMVCA show over the weekend.
Mercy, the winner of Big Brother Naija season 4, had recreated one of Cardi B’s looks from the awards show.
Taking to her Instagram story, Cardi B showed appreciation for Mercy Eke, expressing her approval of the outfit by writing, “888888888.”
Ecstatic about the recognition, Mercy Eke shared her excitement and plans to frame Cardi B’s compliment.
“Whooooshhhhh waking up to my idol reposting my picture. Thank you my queen @iamcardib I will frame this and hang it in my room, period. @Swankyjerry e come. 88888888.”
However, this turn of events led to netizens trolling Tacha for not receiving international recognition for her own extravagant outfit worth 11 million naira.
Unfazed by the criticism, Tacha boldly declared a “pandemic of low self-esteem” on social media. Addressing the issue head-on, Tacha expressed her confidence.
In her words;
“There’s a serious pandemic in town called ‘LOW SELF ESTEEM’ and it’s just LAUGHABLE!! you guys want me to be TIMID SOO BADD! Sorry to burst your bubbles!! My MOTHER RAISED A CONFIDENT WOMAN!! I can’t be anything else. Ps: I’m drinking your tears rn.”
