Suspended Mudryk becomes Chelsea’s unofficial fitness coach

Despite his ongoing suspension, Mykhailo Mudryk has reportedly assumed an unexpected role as an unofficial personal trainer to some of his Chelsea teammates.

The Ukrainian winger, sidelined since December 2024 after failing a drug test, was officially charged on June 18, 2025, with anti-doping violations over the presence of meldonium. He faces a potential four-year ban.

While barred from official training, Mudryk has stayed active around the club’s Cobham base.

According to Tribune, he has been helping fellow players Romeo Lavia, Marc Cucurella, and summer signing Jamie Gittens with personalised fitness routines.

Rising Brazilian star Estevão Williams is also said to be considering joining the sessions.

Mudryk’s guidance has reportedly been welcomed by the players, but it has raised some eyebrows among supporters, with jokes circulating online about him “keeping the supplements to himself.”
