“Stage 4 doesn’t mean cancer” – Saida Boj mocks Blessing CEO’s health claim, says it could be mental illness

Social media personality Saida Boj has stirred reactions online after responding to the viral video of Blessing CEO, who recently claimed she is battling stage 4 cancer.

The controversy comes shortly after the relationship therapist shared an emotional clip, where she appeared visibly distressed and revealed that her “days are numbered,” while also pleading for prayers to stay strong during the difficult period.

Reacting to the video, Saida Boj dismissed the widespread assumption that Blessing CEO was referring to cancer, pointing out that many Nigerians were too quick to jump to conclusions, alleging it could be mental illness.

In her words:

“Blessing came out to say she’s in stage 4, you all concluded it’s cancer. Stage 4 can be anything, it could be stage 4 of madness. Una dey pity am say na cancer. Who told you all it’s cancer?

As she has entered stage 4 now, it’s very, very risky. Instead of you people to catch her and tie her rope, person wey una suppose tie rope before she enter stage 5.”Blessing CEO

Her remarks have since triggered widespread backlash, with many social media users condemning her statement as insensitive and inappropriate, especially given the gravity of cancer-related conversations.

Others, however, defended her stance, arguing that she was merely questioning the lack of clarity surrounding the claim, as no medical proof has been publicly presented.

One user wrote, “Even if she’s lying, you don’t mock something this serious.” Another added, “But honestly, she has a point… people concluded too fast without proof.”
