Speeding convoy allegedly kills 26-year-old woman in Port Harcourt hit-and-run
Residents of Port Harcourt are grieving following the tragic death of 26-year-old Moses Peace, who was reportedly killed in a hit-and-run incident involving a speeding convoy.
The incident occurred on March 19, 2026, along Ada George Road. Eyewitnesses say the young woman was returning from a church program when she was struck by vehicles believed to be part of a convoy.
According to accounts, multiple vehicles allegedly ran over her, with none stopping to offer assistance. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with calls for a thorough investigation and accountability for those involved.
Friends of the deceased are appealing to residents, commuters, and business owners in the area who may have useful information or footage to come forward and assist authorities in identifying the convoy.
“Moses Peace, a vibrant, promising 26-year-old, was tragically taken from us by reckless hit-and-run drivers (learnt it was a convoy) and we can’t stay quiet,” a lawyer and friend, Gloria Borlo, wrote.

“We urgently appeal to residents, commuters, and business owners around Ada George, Omega Junction and its environs. If you were anywhere within that axis between 7:30pm and 7:50pm on Thursday, 19th March 2026, the time this tragedy occurred, we implore you to come forward with any information you may have.
“There are preliminary accounts suggesting that the vehicle involved may have been either a Toyota Tundra or a Toyota Highlander.
“Furthermore, we call on property owners and business operators between Omega Junction and Okilton Junction who have functional CCTV systems to rise to this moment of civic responsibility.
“Your footage could serve as critical evidence. Your cooperation could be the bridge between grief and justice. Let this not be just another story that fades into silence.
