“I think after all the court cases, he is a progressive like myself, President Tinubu, and the Senate President.
“Soludo is a progressive. He will come to APC. In fact, it is confirmed that he will join APC. He has no other alternative.”

The former Abia governor also dismissed claims that the APC pressures politicians to defect, stressing that membership is voluntary and driven by shared ideology rather than coercion.
His statement comes amid reports suggesting that Abia State Governor, Alex Otti of the Labour Party, may also be considering a move to the APC.
“Neither I nor other senators, the Senate President, or President Tinubu have ever forced anybody to join our party,” he said.
