“She made…” – Lady shares how family pressure pushed sister to make money on dating app

A Nigerian lady has stirred reactions online after sharing how her younger sister allegedly made ₦50,000 shortly after joining a dating app.
In a viral video shared on TikTok, she explained that her younger sister, who is the last born in the family and still in school, often depended on them for money and rarely took responsibility for her own expenses.
In her words, she said:
“So our last born in school likes to do only last born, she doesn’t want to do anything. Every morning it’s ‘Sister good morning, I want to sub.’ ‘Sister, I need ₦5k.’ ‘Borrow me ₦10k, borrow me ₦20k.’ So we planned to frustrate her.”
She explained that because of the constant requests, the family decided to stop giving her money in order to push her to become more responsible.
The lady said her sister later reached out to ask about a dating app she uses and how she could get started, so she advised her to download Tinder and explained how the subscription payment works.
“This morning she reached out to me again. I thought she wanted to beg for money, but she told me she has a gist for me. She said she has started making money from the app and someone dashed her ₦50k,” she added.
The story has since sparked mixed reactions on social media.
One user wrote, “Pressure sometimes pushes people, but this isn’t a good advice” Another added, “You don stylishly introduce your sister to hookup. Welldone big sister.”
The lady, however, said she was happy about the development, adding that pushing her sister to that point may have helped her become more serious with her life.
