“She left despite…” – Man recounts heartbreak after wife allegedly left him during financial struggles
A Nigerian man has stirred reactions online after advising young men not to rush into marriage at a young age, following reports that his wife left him during a period of financial struggle.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), he explained that he got married in 2022 when he was financially stable, but things changed when he started facing financial difficulties.
In his words, he said:
“As a young man, I’ll never advise anyone to marry at a very young age. The woman I married when I had money in 2022 has left me because of the financial struggles we’ve faced for just a few months.”
He revealed that his wife left their home despite the fact that they have two children together, adding that the children were still very young.
The man said the situation left him heartbroken and made him reflect on advice he once heard but failed to follow.
“She left, leaving our two kids who she’s still breastfeeding. I wish I had listened to GehGeh’s advice. All this wouldn’t have happened to me.”
His post has since drawn reactions online, with many people sharing mixed opinions about marriage and financial struggles in relationships.
