“She has been using me from Jss1 to 3” – Man recalls being manipulated by schoolmate

A man has recounted how a friendship he nurtured from Junior Secondary School 1 to 3 turned into a long-term betrayal.
According to the victim, the incident began in 2015 when he noticed a quiet classmate, Fatimah, crying at her locker before night prep.
Friendship that turned sour
She told him she had missed lunch and dinner as punishment for failing to copy her notes. Moved by her situation, he shared his cabin and juice, promising to help her after prep.
“I gently pulled her head up and asked what happened. She said she was hungry because she missed meals. I had some juice in my backpack, so I gave it to her and told her to manage for now. That’s when our friendship started,” he said.
Over the next three years, he provided food, completed her assignments, and even persuaded his mother to support both of them, believing her claims of financial hardship.
Betrayal uncovered
The man eventually discovered that Fatimah had been exploiting him the entire time. She reportedly stored her provisions and pocket money with another classmate while continuing to receive his support and eat extra portions at the dining hall.
“While I spent my provisions and pocket money feeding both of us, she would eat extra portions and keep her savings hidden. She used me all those years,” he lamented.
