A man’s post revealing why he declined a scholarship to study overseas has left social media users in disbelief.
The man, @TJKings01 on X (formerly Twitter), expressed regret over rejecting the mouthwatering offer.

According to the X user, during his National Diploma days, he was in a relationship with a girl he loved dearly.
In the tweet that has left social media buzzing, @TJKings01 disclosed that after informing his family about the scholarship, they offered him their support.
However, he informed his girlfriend, who claimed he would move on with another lady, eventually he declined the offer.
In a shocking turn of events, his girlfriend got admitted to the university through direct entry, contradicting their plans.
However, she eventually dumped him citing the long-distance relationship.
”Fast forward to after our ND graduation, this girl did direct entry to Benin as against what we planned, she later called me one day and called off the relationship, claiming that long distance doesn’t work for her”, He stated.
The tweet included a chat of the man informing his girlfriend about the full-paid scholarship to China, and she responded, “You’re going to leave me in Nigeria after all we’ve been through together because of some scholarship“.
