“She almost cried on the bike” – Lady shares unexpected encounter with foreign girl on okada

A Nigerian lady has shared a funny yet shocking experience from her morning commute after boarding an okada on her way to work.
In a viral post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @lifeisyolo_, she explained that she took the bike because she was running late and needed to get to work within 30 minutes.
When she got on the okada, there was already a very pretty girl sitting behind the rider. From her appearance, she could tell the girl was not Nigerian.
About five minutes into the journey, the rider began complaining repeatedly, asking the girl to sit properly. He claimed her posture was making it difficult for him to ride.
“At that point, I was confused,” she wrote. “She was sitting right in front of me and wasn’t disturbing me at all. I kept wondering if there was some special way of sitting on a bike that I didn’t know about.”
Despite this, the rider continued shouting. About 10 to 12 minutes into the trip, he suddenly stopped the bike and threatened to ask the girl to get down if she didn’t sit well.
The situation became tense, and the narrator noticed that the girl was visibly shaken and close to tears.
Moments later, the girl walked a short distance away and entered a Lexus SUV that had been following them the entire time.
It turned out that her mother was inside the vehicle, closely monitoring the ride to let her daughter experience what it feels like to ride an okada in Nigeria.
“Egbami, my own survival mode is what you’re using for character development,” the lady joked. “I will be very angry if they were streaming because I must not see myself online.”
The unexpected ending has left many Nigerians laughing on social media.
