See Finish: “For ugly girl like me, if I want marriage, na bend down select”— UK-based Nigerian nurse

A Nigerian nurse based in the United Kingdom UK has stirred intense debate on social media after making bold claims about marriage and choice of partner.
The comments emerged from a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), where the woman said marriage would be easy for her if she ever became desperate.
She identified herself as a registered nurse licensed to practise in the UK, the United States, and Nigeria.
In the video, she claimed that in a worst-case scenario, she could return to Nigeria, pick any man of her choice, offer him a visa, and secure marriage almost immediately.
According to her, many men would rush to marry her under such conditions, after which she would take her husband back to the UK.
Despite making the statement, she insisted she would not take that route. She repeatedly said, “affliction can never rise the second time,” suggesting she was unwilling to repeat what she described as a mistake.
The nurse further stated that if marriage ever became her challenge, she could also marry a student already living in the UK by helping him with visa arrangements.
She added that another option would be relocating to the United States with her licence and finding a partner there.
However, she again stressed that she was not considering any of these options, repeating that “affliction shall never rise the second time.”
In a part of the video that drew strong reactions online, she described herself as an “ugly girl” and said marriage would still be easy for her.
She said her professional status, age, and international licences made her highly desirable.
Part of her statement read: “For an ugly girl like me, if I decide to get married next week, I’ll just head back to Nigeria, and men will line up for me. As a registered nurse licensed in the UK, US, and Nigeria, I’m 30+ and still a catch. I will just bend and select.”
The video has since triggered mixed reactions on social media. While some users accused her of being arrogant and reducing marriage to visa opportunities, others defended her, saying she was only expressing confidence in her achievements.
