Sancho’s reluctance leaves Roma, Manchester United frustrated

Roma and Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement over Jadon Sancho’s transfer, but the deal has stalled due to the player’s reluctance to compromise.

According to Sky Sport Italia, both clubs have settled on terms worth €19m plus €5m in add-ons, with United eager to finalise the move rather than risk losing Sancho for free when his contract expires next summer.

Roma, meanwhile, are pushing to wrap up their attacking options quickly, with Leon Bailey set for medicals tomorrow after arriving from Aston Villa.

However, Sancho’s refusal to take a pay cut remains the stumbling block, as his current wages are well beyond Roma’s financial capacity.

The winger has also shown little interest in alternatives such as Besiktas, while still appearing to hold out for a potential approach from Juventus.
