Saida Boj urges compassion for Mirabel, says she needs therapy not jail

Social media personality Saida Boj has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Mirabel, calling for empathy and professional mental health support rather than legal punishment.

Recall that the young lady, Mirabel had come out to claim that she had been raped, a claim she later confessed to be untrue. 

Saida Boj reacts to Mirabel controversy

In a lengthy statement, Saida Boj acknowledged that what Mirabel did was wrong but argued that the young woman’s actions appeared to be a cry for help.

She suggested that Mirabel may be struggling with serious mental health challenges, pointing to a video the TikTok user previously shared about panic attacks as evidence that something deeper could be going on.

According to her, certain signs of emotional distress are difficult to fake, and she believes Mirabel is dealing with loneliness and psychological strain.

She further claimed that the backlash and public criticism could worsen the situation, urging people to respond with understanding instead of condemnation.

Saida Boj also addressed claims that Mirabel was intentionally trying to harm others, noting that she did not directly accuse any specific individual. In her view, this suggested internal struggles rather than malicious intent.

“Big shame on those people saying she should be arrested. What this girl need is therapy. Serious therapy. Can you not see? This girl is suff£ring from chr0nic m£ntal d!sorder. This is a child who needs help. I will not dispute the fact that what she did was wrong and unacceptable. But still, that was a cry for help. I went to her page and saw what she posted. A video she made about pan!c att@cks. Yes, some people were saying maybe she’s pretending. Maybe she’s lying. Maybe she’s acting. But let me tell you something. When I see someone suffering from pan!c att@ck, I know there are things you cannot fake. That video I saw wasn’t fake. Can you not see the girl is not normal? Imagine a girl of that age says she cannot sleep without getting extremely h!gh. Is that not enough proof that her brain is f***ed up? Can you not see she’s just a lonely young girl who needs help? First of all, Una notice say this girl no accuse anybody. She no point any man saying that this man do me the same. She was just making up stories. Because all she was seeking was attention. If she was as t£rrible as you all are making her seem. She for just point one random boy. One boy which she no like. But she get conscience. Even on top her mental illness. She get conscience. you even know what it is for a person who is suffering from mental illness to be lonely no parents no friends obviously because those ones where they did they know be friends those girls they call her friends were only there because of the attention she got from social media they are not always there for her now let’s go to her neighbors those people know like her you can tell jealousy there inside i’m a body inside everything joined inside i’m I’m not even too bothered about the male neighbor. Because that one of you don’t check the girl. She no agree. Don’t carry her for mind. For the ladies. One particular girl and her mother. Have it the matter for her. Even if the girl be lie. The manner at which they were saying it. You can see the fact that they don’t like her. As I see that woman. It shock me. A mother. That girl is old enough to be your daughter. Let me tell you what you would have done. Call her. Try to find out if she was saying the truth or not. If you come to say she dey lie, you go scold her. She go open up to you as a mother. But no, you come TikTok life. You and your pekin and that other boy come dey laugh dey day. She dey liar. Anybody who is matured minded would see the conspiracy going on in that compound. But that one now, not that talk. That day she made this video, she was actually going through something. What she was going through, I don’t know. For what I definitely know, she was going through a phase but decided to tell us something else. Mirabelle needs mental care, not jail. Because let me tell you what you all are doing. You are making her case worse. It’s okay if you don’t understand what I’m saying. If you don’t understand mental health illness, you will not understand me. And trust me, I would not blame you for not understanding. Let me make it easier for you all to understand. Mirabelle is a girl who has lost hope. She is tired of life. So she said to herself, let me do this one silly thing and see if people still care about me and see if I still have meaning, if I am important. These are all signs of mental health disorder. See that thing she’s talking about buying herself? Trust me, she’s not joking. Can we please not push her away? I get it. Some of you are pissed and disappointed because the lies got to you all. But please, let’s go easy on her because she’s still a victim. A victim of mental health disorder.”
