Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu (born January 30, 1995), often known as Mr Funny or Oga Sabinus, is a Nigerian comedian, content developer, actor, and skit maker.
Sabinus Biography
On January 30, 1995, Mr Funny was born in Rivers State. He received his early schooling at Port Harcourt and later graduated from the University of Port Harcourt with a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and communication studies.
Career
Mr Funny’s career began in 2015; it wasn’t until 2019 that he started to achieve widespread success. Alongside comedian Basketmouth, he received a nomination in the inaugural Humour Awards Academy in 2021.
At an early age, Sabinus realised he had a gift for comedy. During his time in college, he started performing comedic sketches. This occurred during a specific School Student Union week in 2015.
Mr Funny made the decision to advance his profession by posting a variety of comedic sketches on his social media accounts, particularly Instagram.
His following on Instagram increased as soon as prominent Nigerian Instagram influencers began to take notice of him and share his skits. In 2019, Mr Funny made his debut in the comedy business.
Due to his popularity, he has received some noteworthy recognition. Oga Sabinus serves as a brand ambassador for numerous well-known betting websites, including Oddstackr.
Charles Inojie and Mr Ibu are two of his role models that have shaped his comedic career.
He took home the Legit’s Best Male Skit Maker award for the year. ng Awards 2022. Along with Funnybros, Mr. Macaroni, and Broda Shaggi, he was nominated.
Additionally, Mr. Funny has appeared in a number of Nollywood films, including “Man of War” and “Billionaire’s Bride.”
