Russian woman breaks spine during Nicki Minaj stiletto challenge weeks after giving birth
A 32-year-old Russian woman fractured her spine while attempting the viral Nicki Minaj stiletto challenge just weeks after giving birth.
In a video she posted online, the woman, Mariana Barutkina, tried to perform a daring squat on a stack of unstable household items, a baby formula container placed on a sauce pot, all balanced on top of a kitchen counter.
Wearing heels, she attempted the risky pose but lost balance and fell off the counter, injuring her back.
Doctors later diagnosed her with a Th9 compression fracture. Barutkina, who had only recently started her journey as a content creator, shared the painful outcome, describing how life often tests people in unexpected ways.
The viral challenge, inspired by a pose from Nicki Minaj’s “High School” music video, has become a trend where influencers balance in heels on risky surfaces in hopes of going viral.
