According to his account, the altercation began when the SUV driver attempted to overtake the bus, but the bus driver did not yield space. Both vehicles reportedly continued driving without any collision.

The situation escalated when the SUV driver allegedly maneuvered ahead, stopped his vehicle, and confronted the bus driver.

Iguma claimed the man retrieved a pestle-like object from his car and used it to smash the bus window, causing injuries to some passengers.

He further alleged that the driver physically attacked and dragged the bus driver during the altercation before bystanders intervened.

Iguma questioned why such an object was inside the vehicle and described the incident as deeply troubling. He also stated that the vehicle’s plate number was traced to Zenith Bank, with reports indicating the car is registered under the bank’s name.

However, he clarified that this does not necessarily implicate the institution in the driver’s actions.

Some injured passengers reportedly visited the bank’s headquarters to verify ownership details, though it remains unclear whether the driver is directly affiliated with the organization.

Iguma called on the Lagos State Police Command and the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad to thoroughly investigate the incident and ensure accountability. He also renewed calls for increased CCTV surveillance on Lagos roads to help deter and properly document such incidents.
