“Respects hold no value among women” – Lady sparks debate with controversial take on marriage
A Nigerian lady has stirred reactions online after sharing her opinion on how men and women handle respect, especially when it comes to relationship and marriages.
According to her, men tend to respect boundaries more, particularly when it involves married women, while women, in her view, are more likely to entertain or approach married men.
In her words, she said:
“Men respect men more than women respect women in marriage; men don’t tend to move to married women the way women tend to entertain or move to married men. Respect holds no value among women.”
She went further to challenge common narratives that portray men as selfish, arguing that women also exhibit similar behaviours but often avoid accountability.
The lady maintained that while both genders have their flaws, she believes respect is more strongly upheld among men than women.
“Everyone is out for themselves. We love to say, ‘oooh, men are selfish, men are this.’ Women are the selfish ones, and they are those things they say men are. With men, respect holds more among them, and I will give them that,” she added.
Her statement has triggered mixed reactions online, while some agreed with her perspective, others strongly disagreed, arguing that respect and loyalty depend on individuals, not gender.
