Reason why cancer has not shrunk me like Alex is because I have a tough skin — Blessing CEO

Relationship coach and social media personality Blessing CEO has reacted strongly to comments made online following reports about the death of actor Alexx Ekubo.
In a video shared online, Blessing CEO condemned social media users who compared her situation to that of the late actor, accusing some Nigerians of stigmatising people during vulnerable moments.

“I saw some people saying God take Blessing CEO and give us back Alexx. My God will punish you. You weee kpa! before me. Was it not the same Alexx Ekubo that you people said he was Agege? Was he not the one that his ex fiancée came out and told the would that he was g@y. You people know how to st!gm@tize people. If a photo of him in his vulnerable state had l£aked you people would have labeled him Agege,” she said.
The media personality also addressed speculations surrounding her health, insisting that her resilience has helped her withstand public scrutiny.
“Some people are making it look like I had health issues. The reason why I’m still here is because I have a tough skin,” she stated.
According to her, the late actor’s condition may have been kept away from the public because of fear of online ridicule and harsh judgment.
“What happened to Alexx Ekubo wasn’t privacy; it was sh@me. He knew that if he came out you guys are going to !nsult and v!CT!mize him, so his family protected him,” she added.
Blessing CEO further spoke about public perceptions surrounding serious illnesses, particularly canc£r, and how physical changes often lead to assumptions and online speculation.
“And you know when you’re going through c@nc£r you start to shr!nk. People will label you that you have H!**V. That is why I have refused to shr!nk for you people. They keep asking where’s your bl@ck hand, what do you want the bl@ck hand for. You just want to confirm that I am suff£r!ng….” she said.
