“Person I trusted most has ruined me” — Man laments as wife sells his properties, gives money to her brother

A Nigerian man has revealed the shocking betrayal he faced just two years into his marriage.
According to his account, he had entrusted his wife with all his property documents, including lands and houses, believing in her honesty and religious devotion.
He even purchased some properties in her name, thinking they were building a future together.
Wife Sells Properties for Brother
The situation took a turn last month when his business hit a rough patch. Needing funds to repay a loan, he asked his wife for the property documents.
That’s when she began shivering and confessed she had sold all the properties to help her brother. The man said everything he worked for is now gone.
He reported that he has arrested both his wife and her brother, but the police and family members are pleading on her behalf.
Meanwhile, his business continues to struggle, and debts are mounting.

Public Reacts with Shock and Advice
Social media users expressed anger and concern over the betrayal.
Kunmi wrote: “That’s so cruel of her, no one is saying she can’t assist her brother, but selling fr everything your hubby laboured to build???”
Thiago commented: “That is not religion. That is betrayal. If she sold properties without your consent, that is fraud. Focus on getting a strong lawyer immediately and see if the sales can be challenged legally. Do not let family pressure override your future. Protect what is left.”
Stephen said: “How can you trust a human being with everything? You practically surrendered your Authority to another human being and now you have to learn the hard way.”
Mary Charles wrote: “Ensure she pays you every dime. How do you sell off your husband’s property in your custody. Honestly she never lived you. I’m so sorry but ensure she pays.”
Clinton noted: “Because The documents in your names are much or because when registered with your name the investment will not yield profit or not for the future… I don’t blame her a bit, your type hardly supports family members nor parents. E good as you learn in a very hard way… Mumu.”
